Each of these maps spans ten feet in height and twenty feet in length. Functioning as accurate star maps, hundreds of Swarovski crystals were plotted in their precise corresponding coordinates. Olujimi learned to operate a specialized long arm sewing machine, embroidering more than 300 figures for these tapestries. He also created a series of artifacts spawned by the myths. Lastly the piece includes a 150-page companion book containing the complete mythology, exhibition images and critical essays.
