This work is a combination of \u003ca href=\"http://vleeshal.nl/nl/collectie/fransje-killaars-non-stop\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eNON STOP (Innsbruck)\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/a\u003e\u0026nbsp;from the Vleeshal Middelburg collection and \u003cem\u003eNON STOP (Paris)\u003c/em\u003e from the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam collection. The two were merged into a new piece: \u003cem\u003eNON STOP (Amsterdam)\u003c/em\u003e. The thin nylon fabric makes the work look like a summer pavilion. Its exterior is determined by a vertical architecture of colour. Inside the pavilion visitors can lie down on berths with pillows and blankets, reminiscent of a train compartment, a reference to Killaars\u0026rsquo;s travels in colourful India and an invitation for visitors to engage each other in intimate conversation. The installation makes us feel sheltered from the outside world, although nothing more than a thin piece of fabric is shielding us from its impact.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n"},{"locale":"nl","short_description":"","description":"\u003cp\u003eFransje Killaars speelt in haar installaties, schilderijen en toegepaste werken steeds met ruimte, licht en kleur. De twee werken werden samengevoegd en hieruit ontstond een nieuw werk: \u003cem\u003eNON STOP (Amsterdam)\u003c/em\u003e. De dunne banden in nylonstof geven het werk het uitzicht van een zomers paviljoen. De buitenkant wordt bepaald door de verticale kleurenarchitectuur. Binnenin kan de bezoeker languit liggen, op ligbanken die doen denken aan die van een treincouchette, een verwijzing naar de reizen van de kunstenares door het kleurrijke India. Op de banken liggen kussens en dekens klaar. De bezoekers worden uitgenodigd tot intieme gesprekken. In de installatie lijkt het alsof je van de buitenwereld afgesloten bent.
