His book places the power and violence of the settlers in their historical and political perspectives.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBy exploring the levels of identity and the difference between the past and the present, \u003ci\u003eTen thousand ploys and ten thousand tricks\u003c/i\u003e tuned into specific regions and histories in which it was written. It confronted more recent works by contemporary artists and filmmakers with historical views.
