The first two releases were magazines, then several vinyl records appeared, and books, T-shirts and posters. From UE50 on \u0026ndash; a tattoo on Tyfus\u0026#39; fist \u0026ndash; it becomes clear that the label is primarily a numbering: an alternative way to divide time, to step into one\u0026#39;s own footprints and to keep the beat.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eUltra Eczema is not only composed of what is released but, as a linear numbering of an artistic practice, it keeps the various activities of Tyfus together. Whether a gallery exhibition of his own art, the organisation of a concert, the design of a flyer or the radio programme Tyfus Time on local independent Radio Central \u0026ndash; Ultra Eczema draws a straight line through the variety of activities, connecting the points.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eApart from an indication of his pace, for Tyfus, Ultra Eczema is also the ideal place to combine his interests and influences with work of his own. It\u0026#39;s an expression of the effort an obsessive collector makes to find something, riveted to the efforts of a tireless maker to do something. In this way Tyfus discovers \u0026ndash; not as detached observer or critic, but as a producer on the first row, as someone who wants to interfere \u0026ndash; influences on his work in the history of punk, experimental music, sound poetry and the visual arts.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eUltra Eczema gradually develops a geographical circuit too. Besides records, magazines and books \u0026ndash; all mental spaces \u0026ndash; there are also organised events. Gunther and City Limit, both Antwerp locales, interfere in a direct physical way, by looking for a surplus in the city to fill in. Meer dan een label in de traditionele zin van het woord is het een opeenvolging van catalogusnummers. De eerste twee releases zijn magazines, daarna verschijnen er verschillende vinylplaten, boeken, T-shirts en posters. Vanaf UE50 \u0026ndash;een tattoo op de vuist van Tyfus- wordt het duidelijk dat het label vooral een nummering is: een alternatieve manier om de tijd in te delen, om in de eigen voetsporen te stappen en om de tel bij te houden.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eUltra Eczema bestaat niet enkel uit wat er wordt uitgebracht, maar houdt als lineaire nummering van een artistieke praktijk de verschillende activiteiten van Tyfus bijeen. Of het nu een galerietentoonstelling van eigen beeldend werk, de organisatie van een concert, het ontwerpen van een flyer of het maken van het radioprogramma Tyfustijd op Radio Centraal is, Ultra Eczema trekt dwars doorheen de verscheidenheid aan activiteiten een lijn die de punten verbindt.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eUltra Eczema is naast een ritme-aanduiding van het tempo van Tyfus ook de ideale plaats om zijn interesses en invloeden te combineren met eigen werk. Het is een uiting van de moeite die een obsessionele verzamelaar doet om iets te vinden, vastgeklonken aan de inspanning van een onophoudelijke maker om iets te doen. Op die manier ontdekt Tyfus - niet als afstandelijke toeschouwer of criticus, maar als maker op de eerste rij, als iemand die wil tussenkomen- invloeden in de geschiedenis van de punk, de experimentele muziek, de sound poetry en de beeldende kunst.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eUltra Eczema bouwt stilaan ook een geografisch parcours uit. Naast platen, magazines en boeken als mentale ruimtes, vinden georganiseerde evenementen plaats. De plekken Gunther en Stadslimiet grijpen op een rechtstreeks ruimtelijke manier in, door een overschot in de stad te zoeken om in te vullen.
