INBOX is a place that both inspires and surprises, and grants us a glimpse into the universe of passionate thinkers and doers. With INBOX, M HKA creates a physical space in which the museum addresses often-reccuring questions. In between the various events, we show a selection of our collection work, paying particular attention to video art.\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePhilippe Van Wolputte\u003c/strong\u003e\u0026nbsp;(born in 1982, Antwerp) ended his most ambitious and longest running project\u0026nbsp;\u003cem\u003eTemporary Penetrable Exhibition Spaces\u003c/em\u003e\u0026nbsp;with a presentation at the M HKA.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eFor ten years, the artist opened up empty, forgotten spaces in the urban environment. This project was an anchor work in the oeuvre of the artist which always manages to draw attention in a different way to the excessive speed at which empty buildings are closed and opened to the public. Drastic renovation plans often lead to the exclusion of everything that is inadequate and does not meet the average standard. Any source of disorder should be nipped in the bud immediately. Anything that could threaten rationale or order is banished and condemned as an unacceptable choice.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eFrom that point of view, geographic and urban planning runs parallel to the mental exclusion of all that is irrational, chaotic and unreasonable. Despite this, some hasty decisions in favour of closure or exclusion instils in many people a sense of disorientation and uncertainty. Dit project is een ankerwerk binnen het oeuvre van de kunstenaar die steeds op een andere manier de aandacht wil vestigen op de overdreven snelheid waarmee leegstaande panden afgesloten en ontsloten worden voor het publiek. Ingrijpende renovatieplannen leiden vaak tot uitsluiting van alles wat onaangepast is en niet aan de doorsnee norm voldoet. Elke bron van wanorde dient onmiddellijk de kop ingedrukt te worden. Alles wat de rede of orde zou kunnen bedreigen, wordt uitgebannen en als ontoelaatbare keuze veroordeeld.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eGeografische en stedelijke ordening is in die optiek een parallel aan de mentale uitsluiting van alles wat irrationeel, chaotisch en onredelijk is. Toch veroorzaken sommige overhaaste beslissingen tot af-of uitsluiting bij vele mensen een gevoel van desori\u0026euml;ntatie en onzekerheid.
