INBOX is a place that both inspires and surprises, and grants us a glimpse into the universe of passionate thinkers and doers. With INBOX, M HKA creates a physical space in which the museum addresses often-reccuring questions. In between the various events, we show a selection of our collection work, paying particular attention to video art.\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe artistic scope of \u003cstrong\u003eBie Michels\u003c/strong\u003e\u0026nbsp;(born in 1960, Kimwenza, CG) extends across paintings, installations and films. She shows her view of reality, makes her impressions concrete in images that often alternate between poetry and the so-called documentary.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eIn\u0026nbsp;\u003cem\u003eSchrammen in haar hoofd\u003c/em\u003e, Bie Michels starts from the battle which her mother fought against Alzheimer, a battle which became more onerous as time progressed. The numerous notes and \u003cem\u003eaide memoires\u003c/em\u003e which she left behind are silent witnesses to this.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing her father\u0026#39;s daily walks, Bie Michels was struck by his (literally) lost ground and made that into a film. His \u003cem\u003eoutdoor patch\u003c/em\u003e became increasingly smaller. Long walks had to make way for a trip along the safe perimeters of his compound. De talloze aantekeningen en geheugensteuntjes die zij heeft nagelaten, getuigen daarvan.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eNaar aanleiding van de dagelijkse wandelingen die haar vader maakt, werd Bie Michels getroffen door zijn (letterlijk) terreinverlies en maakte daar een film van.\u0026nbsp;\u003cem\u003eZijn buiten-gebied\u003c/em\u003e\u0026nbsp;werd steeds kleiner. Grote wandelingen moesten plaats maken voor een ronde langs de veilige binnengrenzen van zijn domein.
