From time to time this connectivity even mutates, becomes coalescent, like roots which intertwine, entangled and nearly indistinguishable from one another, or atoms that bond, cluster together and form new molecules.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eHer oeuvre is as colourful as it is peculiar, which can make it more difficult to grasp. A painstakingly constructed structural design lurks behind the seeming simplicity of her sculptures and installations, which are based on the utopia of the makeable world. The impression conveyed here is that the artist has resolved to craft a parallel universe from every imaginable object and living thing found in day-to-day life; all, however, have been transformed into something entirely new. Power, dominance and the law of the strongest are cast aside, if just for a moment. The artist throws her lot in with an imaginary and colourful fellowship which can best be summed up as \u0026ldquo;to be entirely frank, pleasantly deranged\u0026rdquo;. While recognisable materials appear to try and meld with reality, the form itself creates a sense of disorientation and vice versa.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eNot stopping to ask whether her universe could be lived in, much less habitable, she continues to hammer away at her wayward Utopia, one overrun by a lust for life and daring. Whether she is on a quest for a better world is as yet unknown. Achter de schijnbare eenvoud van haar sculpturen en installaties gaat een zorgvuldig geconstrueerd bouwplan schuil dat ge\u0026iuml;nspireerd is door de utopie van een maakbare wereld. Het lijkt alsof de kunstenares besloten heeft een parallel universum te bouwen met alle voorwerpen en levensvormen uit het dagelijks leven, maar dan getransformeerd tot nieuwe entiteiten. Macht, dominantie, en het principe van het recht van de sterkste worden heel even buiten spel gezet; de kunstenares opteert voor een imaginaire en kleurrijke samenhorigheid die misschien nog het best kan worden samengevat door de contradictie tussen ernstig en gestoord. Waar een herkenbaar materiaal aansluiting lijkt te zoeken bij de werkelijkheid, zorgt de vorm voor verwarring, en vice versa.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eZonder zich af te vragen of haar universum leefbaar of bewoonbaar is, bouwt ze steeds verder aan haar afwijkend Utopia, dat wemelt van levenslust en lef.
