Strik mainly produces portraits, of herself and people around her. She draws inspiration from her enormous photographic collection, generally of her own making. By looking at this sort of image, a new work oftimes acquires shape. The drawing reflects the moment of memory, of re-experience. Her own mood is thus very important in the genesis of a work.
